Alta, UT -- Alta Ski Area will open for the 2015/2016 season Friday at 9:15 am. Check out current conditions at alta.com. Alta plans to run Collins, Wildcat and Sunnyside lifts, with roughly 30% of the mountain open.
Alta is offering a $59 Area Day Pass until further openings. Pricing for beginners and children will be at our published rates on alta.com. For skiers, Watson Shelter will be open for food service with Baldy Brews and the Watson Café. Alta Java and the Albion Grill will be operating as well. Alf’s will be open as a shelter with restroom facilities and some grab and go snacks. The Goldminer’s Daughter will also be open for food service.
Retail and rental will be available through the Alta Ski Shop’s Wildcat Base location; retail will be open at the Alta Ski Shop locations at Watson Shelter and Alf’s. Alta Sports, Motherlode and Deep Powder House will also be open for retail and rentals.
