The Family History Library
More genealogy records at your fingertips than you ever imagined. The Family History Library was founded in 1894 and is the largest library of its kind in the world. The Library houses:
- Over 2.4 million rolls of microfilmed genealogical records
- 742,000 microfiche
- 310,000 books, serials, and other formats
- 4,500 periodicals

- New Zealand
- Pacific Islands
- Records in over 110 countries, territories, and possessions have been filmed
- Currently 242 cameras are microfilming records in over 40 countries

- Regular orientation classes and specialized research classes are available for groups and individuals
For the beginner, the nearby FamilySearch™ Center offers easy-to-use geneaolgy computers with access to millions of worldwide records. Friendly, supportive staff will introduce individuals and groups to the world of genealogy with personal assistance.
