The Family History Library was founded in 1894 and is the largest library of its kind in the world. The Library houses:
- Over 2.4 million rolls of microfilmed genealogical records
- 742,000 microfiche
- 310,000 books, serials, and other formats

For the beginner, the nearby FamilySearch™ Center offers easy-to-use geneaolgy computers with access to millions of worldwide records. Friendly, supportive staff will introduce individuals and groups to the world of genealogy with personal assistance.
