The Days of '47 Komatsu Equipment Rodeo has consistently been rated one of the nation's top PRCA rodeos. World Champion cowboys and cowgirls compete for over $200,000 in prize money as they make their way to the National Finals Rodeo. The Days of '47 Komatsu Equipment Rodeo is a destination rodeo for these champions.
We'll feature Bareback and Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Tie-down Roping. Bull riders will be protected by PRCA bull fighters and barrel/rodeo clown Troy Lerwill, aka "Wild Child." Wild Child's amazing antics and world-famous comedy really entertain the crowds.

The Natural History Museum of Utah is excited to host The Horse. Over time, humans have preyed upon horses, domesticated them, bred them for work and play and forged deep emotional and spiritual connections with them. Come discover the fascinating story of how humans have shaped the horse and how the horse, in turn has shaped us. The Natural History Museum of Utah and Wells Fargo will present several programs during the exhibition’s opening week: • Build a Horse • Horse Evolution • From the Horses Mouth: Meet horse-related experts and interact with tools of their trade! • The Horse Exhibition Gallery Tours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
This special exhibition includes cultural objects from around the world, a hand-painted diorama depicting the evolution of the horse and interactives that invite you to test your strength in horsepower, identify different breeds and peek inside a life-size, moving horse. Horses are integral to our history and touch us as individuals. Celebrate our bond with these magnificent creatures!
In addition, explore one of Utah’s most important horse stories – the connection of the Ute people to horses. The Ute were among the first North American tribes to acquire horses from the Spanish in the 1600s. Discover how horses transformed Ute life in ways that continue to reverberate today. The Horse: Opening Week will run through Sunday, July 27, 2014. The Horse Exhibition runs through January 4, 2015.

BLACK FLAG has announced a spring / summer tour of North America entitled the VICTIMOLOGY TOUR. The tour kicks off on May 15 in Midland, Texas and includes dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York, Toronto as well as an appearance at the Amnesia Rockfest Music Festival in Montebello, Quebec, Canada on June 20th.
The VICTIMOLOGY TOUR will feature new vocalist Mike Vallely joining the band for the first time since performing with them at the 2003 Benefit Shows at the Hollywood Palladium. Vallely is the fifth vocalist in the band’s 38 years of existence and according to founding member, guitarist, primary songwriter and sole continuous member Greg Ginn, Vallely “is the perfect frontman to capture what Black Flag was, is and will be.”
Vallely affirms, “I’m excited about performing songs from the entire Black Flag catalog. I feel confident in my ability to communicate the songs — To give them their due respect and yet still make them my own. Ginn’s songwriting is truly timeless and it gives all of the material relevance right here, right now.”
Supporting BLACK FLAG on the VICTIMOLOGY TOUR will be Ginn’s own HOR, an electronic, psychedelic, instrumental band, and Brooklyn, NY two- piece atmospheric punk band Cinema Cinema.
Outdoor Concert Series: Santana
Long before the category known as “World Music” was named, Santana’s ever-evolving sound was always ahead of its time in its universal appeal. Founded in San Francisco during the late 1960’s, the band hit the Bay Area music scene with historic shows at the Fillmore and emerged onto the global stage with an epic set at Woodstock in 1969. More than 40 years and almost as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 100 million records and has won ten Grammy Awards, including a record-breaking nine for 1999’s Album of the Year, Supernatural. Psicobloc Master Series
Some of the top professional climbers in the world will converge on Park City, Utah for the 2nd Annual Psicobloc Masters Series Competition presented by Clif Bar.
This year’s competition will feature a men’s and women’s division and will be in the style of a “duel” – competitors race head-to-head on identical routes, with the highest or first to the top advancing to the next round. The competition wall, designed by Walltopia, reaches over 50 feet above the pool and overhangs roughly 25 feet. The climbers use no ropes or harnesses, creating a thrilling plunge into the water below if they fall.

Daughters of Mudson
The third annual Daughters of Mudson features choreography by Ching I Chang, Brooklyn Draper, Efren Corado, Mike Watkiss and Erica Womack. Curated by Ishmael Houston-Jones, theses choreographers from the 2013-2014 Mudson works-in-progress series were selected to complete their dances, with an emphasis on process, the show features an array of choreographic methods and aesthetic diversity.
