Have you wanted to visit the Tracy Aviary, but had a hard time fitting it in around work?
Do you need a unique date night idea?
Are you behind on Salt Lake's latest culinary developments and dying to catch up?
You can achieve all of the above on July 9th at the first annual Eat Drink SLC. The event will be held at Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park. The aviary is home to over 400 birds from 135 species and offers a verdant and decidedly unique setting for a night of eating, drinking, and enjoying pleasant company.
Many of Salt Lake's best restaurants and food purveyors will be represented in the seasonal fare served: Forage, Finca, Provisions, Copper Onion, Avenues Bistro, and more. In the drink realm, over 80 wines from an international selection of family-owned wineries, including Haraszthy Family Cellars and Ruth Lewandowski Wines, will be available for your tasting pleasure. There will also be craft cocktails from Beehive Distilling, High West Distillery, and other small-batch distilleries and craft beer from four local brewers, including Epic Brewing and Squatters Beers.
As if all these artfully designed flavors and exotic surroundings won't give you enough feel-goods, all proceeds from the event will benefit three local non-profits: Tracy Aviary, SB Dance, and Communidades Unidas, an organization which strives to break down the sociological, linguistic, and economic barriers that can stand in the way of access to health services.
Tickets are $75, seating is limited to 500 people, and the event is 21+.
