Ballet West's 2014/2015 season ends on Saturday, May 23rd, and this year's wrap-up events will be especially magical.
Season Salute: 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Prior to the company's closing-night performance, Squatters Pub Brewery will host a Season Salute in its private room. The Salute will feature beers, beverages, and hors d'oeurves, and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $35, and all proceeds go to support Ballet West. The brewery is located just around the corner from Capitol Theatre, so pop right on over to the performance after hob-knobbing and noshing.
Innovations: 7:30 p.m.
This truly unique program features five world-premiere works by up-and-coming American choreographers. The program enters daring new territory, setting the stage, so to speak, for the possibilities of ballet in the 21st century.
Rock the Rooftop Party: 9:00 p.m. - Midnight
The terrace of the Jessie Eccles Quinney Ballet Centre is the perfect setting for a post-performance party, and a memorable spot for Ballet West to bid a fond farewell to Prima Ballerina Christiana Bennett, who's retiring after 16 years with the company.
This after-hours event begins immediately after the performance and will feature food, fun, and musical entertainment under the night sky, as well as amazing rooftop views of downtown Salt Lake.
Tickets are $100, with all proceeds directly supporting Ballet West.
We hope to see you for a night of ballet and downtown festivities!
