Utah residents have a proud tradition of military service, and most of us have seen close up the kinds of sacrifices our military personnel have made. Salt Lake City celebrates Veterans Day Monday, Nov. 11, with the largest events at the University of Utah and in Taylorsville. Highlights include a Veterans Day parade at Taylorsville City Hall at 11 a.m., and the 58th annual Veterans Day Concert at 7 p.m. at the University of Utah's Huntsman Center. Veterans and their families can get free admission to Hogle Zoo, and lots of local restaurants are offering free meals for military personnel. Remember to fly your flag and thank a veteran Monday!
