If you have been in Downtown Salt Lake within the past five years, you have seen some big transformation, especially on blocks 75 and 76, or where City Creek Center stands. These two blocks hold a lot of Salt Lake’s history including the legendary ZCMI, the Salt Lake City Theatre and many other shops.
Last month Downtown Plan SLC screened the documentary, “Salt Lake City: A Downtown Story” at the Main Library. I had no idea these two city blocks held so much history, from the very beginning of our fair city. Prior to the film Downtown Plan SLC shared the details of The Downtown Story Project.
Salt Lake is a really cool place, full of even cooler people with fascinating stories. This project aims at capturing those stories, and you can be part of it!
