Pet lovers unite! BlogPaws, the original social media pet community and international media conference has set the “bark” high with news of their fourth conference touching down for three days in Salt Lake in June 2012. Registration is open and the founders expect another record crowd. What is BlogPaws? BlogPaws brings pet parents and enthusiasts together with each other, with the brands they buy and with experts that give actionable advice at their national social media conferences. In just over two years, BlogPaws has held three national conferences, united dozens of pet industry sponsors with their direct audience via bloggers, Tweeters, those on Facebook and other social media channels, and has grown to a combined nearly 17,000 social media followers. BlogPaws is a pet-friendly event that has made its mark in Ohio, Colorado, Virginia, and next Utah. Have a pet and like to blog about them? With millions blogging, studies reveals that blogs are outpacing more traditional media for inspiration, product reviews, and opinion, hence generating more trust, recommendations, and opinions, according to the 2011 Technorati State of the Blogosphere. Where & when will BlogPaws 2012 take place? BlogPaws 2012 will take place at the Sheraton Salt Lake City, June 21-23, 2012. Choose from a 1-day, 2-day, or all-access pass for three days. Businesses and students are welcome to register, as well. Who should attend BlogPaws 2012? BlogPaws conferences deliver educational sessions on topics ranging from finding content for your blog, to search engine optimization (SEO), to turning your blog into a business or a book, to holding fund raising events called "Twitter-pawties," to using specialized contest apps on Facebook, and much more. While a majority of the attendees publish about — or in some cases AS their pets — the topics apply broadly to anyone who wants to learn more about effective use of social media. Will there be “celebri-pets” there? Guinness World Record “Fastest Skateboarding Dog,” Tillman, and television’s famed “Super Scooter Dog,” Norman, will kick off BlogPaws 2012 after a video master class with Animal Planet’s "Hero Dogs of 9/11,” producer, Kenn Bell.
