I recently attended the Hotel Monaco’s unveiling of its $5 million complete transformation. The evening boasted a guilty pleasure’s theme with creative decorations filled of guilty pleasures. Following the tour of the rooms, I can tell you my new guilty pleasure is: The Hotel Monaco. If you’re a local, this is the perfect place to escape downtown for the evening. With Bambara right downstairs, there’s no need to even leave the hotel. For the visitor, Hotel Monaco renovated their spaces with you in mind.
Just walking into the lobby you get the sense of a contemporary living room. The big chairs beckon you to lounge and take in the exquisite fabrics and other furnishings. This Salt Lake hotel even offers the experience to “live like a local”, just ask any hotel employee for suggestions, or take out one of the bikes available to guests. The rooms have been updated to a more urban and sophisticated feel. As customary for Kimpton hotels there is even a little local flare to the décor.
The guest rooms and lobby are not the only areas that got face-lifts. The ballroom and meeting rooms all 3,100 feet of space have been updated to make the guest feel right at home.Seriously if you’re coming into town why stay anywhere else? If you’re a local this is the perfect place for a cozy and urban night away. Hotel Monaco’s new transformation really says “Welcome”.
