One of the nicest things about summer in Salt Lake City is all the free entertainment in city parks, libraries and public amphitheaters. Cities and community organizations throughout the Salt Lake Valley sponsor free movie nights all summer long. Most are outdoors, so bring a blanket and a few of your best friends to enjoy a great movie and a beautiful summer evening! The free outdoor movie season kicks off this weekend with Salt Lake City's Friday Night Flicks series, screening Despicable Me June 3rd at Liberty Park (600 East & 1300 South) at about 9 p.m. Community booths open at 8 p.m. Click here for more information on Salt Lake Area Free Summer Movies.
