Lawns turning green, daffodils in bloom, pear trees blossoming - Salt Lake City really comes alive in April. It's time to show some love for Mother Earth by attending one of the great SLC Earth Day activities taking place throughout the second half of April and the beginning of May.Salt Lake City Earth Day highlights include "Party for the Planet" events at Tracy Aviary and Hogle Zoo; special menu items featuring local organic ingredients at Bambara, Faustina and Oasis Cafe; and Earth Day fairs sponsored by Salt Lake County, the University of Utah, Westminster College and Alta Ski Resort.
