On March 3, 2010, Smashburger
opened their 4th Utah location. “Utah has welcomed Smashburger with open arms,” said Smashburger’s president, Scott Carne. “We can’t wait for Draper residents to taste Smashburger’s ‘better burgers’ and become the city’s favorite place for burgers.” With their Utah crowd in mind, they created the "Beehive Smashburger." The Beehive Smashburger starts with one-third or half-pound 100 % certified Angus beef burger which is then topped with honey BBQ sauce, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and haystack onions on a toasted egg bun. As a member of SassyScoops.com
, my family and I were invited to sample Smashburger's tempting tasties
at their grand opening preview night. My kids are STILL asking to go back. They thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and especially the shakes.
Yes, by the time we left, my kids were covered in milkshakes and just about as happy as if it were their birthday.
I thought my food was tasty, but sampling my kids' meals showed me what my favorite was: Smashburger chicken fingers. I'm quite the connoisseur when it comes to finding a great chicken tender/finger. I like the meat to be tender and moist, while the breading needs to be sweet and crunchy (not so crunchy that you're breaking your teeth... just nice crunchy). Smashburger's chicken fingers were the perfect blend of tasty, moist meat with crispy breading. I LOVED them.
So next time you see a Smashburger in Salt Lake City, you'll want to head on over and give them a try!
