The Utah Review Group went to review Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, to read their official rating go here. Are you tired of all the same old pizzas that require blotting with a paper towel in order to make it “healthy”? Well, if so, Settobello Pizzeria Napoletana, located in downtown Salt Lake City, is the place for you!Settebello is only one of 250 VPN certified restaurants in the United States. The VPN charter requires that members use only specific raw ingredients to create the pizza dough, that the dough be worked with the hands, never using a rolling pin and that it be cooked directly on the surface of a bell-shaped pizza oven fueled solely by wood. The charter also requires specific types of tomatoes be used and only the use of fresh milk or buffalo milk mozzarella is acceptable.Settebello also uses a brick oven, which was imported from Italy, to cook all their pizzas. This means it only takes 60-90 seconds for each pizza to cook! That is one fast pizza oven. I like to call that the Apolo Ohno of pizza ovens. The pizzas range in price from $7.99-$12.99. Settebello also makes their own gelato and boasts many different flavors of gelato and Sorbetti.Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana is located at:260 South 200 WestSalt Lake City, UT 84101Phone: 801.322.3556They are open Monday-Thursday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM and Friday-Saturday: 11:00 AM- 11:00 PM.This is the best (and cheapest) way to experience a slice of Italy without the expense of traveling or the temptation to do some major designer clothes shopping.…So, for your next date night, family night or “out on the town” night, plan on checking out Settebellos for a pizza experience in a category all its own. Then chase it down with their freshly made gelato. Feeling a little funky? Order the ricotta and balsamic flavor. You’ll love its rich, tangy creaminess.Read more from Vanessa Brown at
