sucasa1On my second official Broadway-exploring venture, my mission was simple:  get lunch.  I was hungry, and I was on my bike.  I'd seen the catchy metal sun sign of Su Casa many times, but never had the chance to stop.  This time, it was their huge $4.99 Lunch Special banner that caught my eye and had me pulling over.Even if there hadn't been a special, I might have been lured in by the patio and umbrellas alone:  I'm a sucker for outside seating.  SLC has beautiful weather for a good chunk of the year, and there's no reason not to dine/drink/lounge in the great outdoors. At Su Casa during lunch hour, there was barely an empty seat in the house, inside or out.sucasa2The lunch special turned out to be a generous bean and cheese burrito and tostada, heaped with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. I'd  been snacking on the yummy chips and salsa beforehand, and was full long before my lunch was anywhere near gone.Though lunch draws many in, the family-owned restaurant is open for dinner as well, and has locations in Logan, Bountiful, and Midvale as well.  No liquor license means you'll have to meander further down Broadway to imbibe (more on that coming soon!), but check this place out as you enjoy a sunny afternoon in SLC.Details:  516 East Broadway, Mon-Thurs 11am-9pm, Fri-Sat 11am - 9:30pm, closed Sunday.
