Omniture Summit 2009 In Salt Lake CityFebruary 18, 2009 at 5:03PM
Omniture, one of if not THE web's leading analytics company is hosting their annual summit at the Salt Palace this week. Although just a two day conference, the Omniture Summit 2009 is where a lot of case studies are shared showcasing how their software is being used by clients as well as insights into how to better optimize a company's online marketing approach through increased accuracy in analytics. An estimated 2000 individuals are here for the conference this year, flying in from around the country and the world to participate. They are utilizing a number of breakout rooms, the grand ballroom and portions of the main exhibitor hall. Playing host to a tech company like Omniture of course requires that the Salt Palace be technologically ready. As part of the conference, there is building wide wireless as well as an outfitted Cyber Cafe which is co-sponsored by Dell and Apple. The Cyber Cafe has laptops set up at each station for use with the LAN internet connection. So far, feedback that I heard from attendees was positive regarding the convention center facilities and Salt Lake. I also overheard more than a few conversations about the recent snowfall and inquiries about which resort people will be headed to on Friday and Saturday. After all, it's just 15 minutes from Power Point to Powder.
