SUSHI FOR SANTA! A creative charity event.Shane - December 10, 2009 at 6:49PM
Every year, the Sushi for Santa organization puts together an amazing Christmas charity event. The concept is simple: make a donation for entry into the event and enjoy an open sushi bar from some of the finest sushi chefs in Utah, including chefs from Mikado, Ichiban, and Naked Fish. While you're delighting in the delectable dinner, participate in silent auctions and raffles of loads of donations from local businesses and organizations. You can also donate at the cash bar. And as if all this wasn't enough for a great event, Sushi for Santa has been successful in years past by creating an exciting atmosphere. There will be music and happiness this Christmas at Sushi for Santa. Each year Sushi for Santa chooses a different charity organization to support. For 2009, they have chosen the Angel's Hands Foundation. The AHF raises money to help Utah families deal with the everyday struggles facing families with children suffering rare diseases. This is the third annual Sushi for Santa event. Last year there were over 750 people in attendance. I spoke with planners for this years event and they are certain the attendance will be over 1000 this year. In order to accommodate the numbers, the event will be held in the Energy Solutions Arena. The Sushi for Santa committee aims to make this event "an opportunity to those who might not otherwise feel they can make a difference a chance to band together with many, and make a significant contribution." Thank you, Sushi for Santa for making it so easy to find the Christmas spirit this Holiday season! It all happens tomorrow night: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, 7:30 to 11:30 PM at Energy Solutions Arena.Click this link to DONATE TO or ATTEND Sushi for Santa 2009.
