Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau Names Conran New National PR Agency

Published: 11/19/2008
The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau has selected Conran Communications, a New York City-based firm specializing in the travel, ski and hospitality industries, as its national public relations agency of record.

The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau (SLCVB) is a private, non-profit corporation with 850-plus member partners from a range of Salt Lake tourism interests, as well as the four world-class ski resorts of Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude located just 30-minutes from downtown and Salt Lake City International Airport. Conran will implement a national public relations campaign designed to promote the value and accessibility of Salt Lake as a tourism and convention destination. Salt Lake uniquely offers the best of many worlds in one destination: A burgeoning downtown surrounded by the towering Wasatch Mountains, endless outdoor recreation, trendy neighborhoods, art and cultural districts and a cadre of talented chefs, all in one of the most quintessential settings in the American West.

"We are thrilled to select Conran as our public relations agency and to establish a stronger presence in New York and nationally," said Scott Beck, President & CEO of the SLCVB. "Their long association and passion for Utah is a decided asset and was key to our selection process. We look forward to working in tandem with the Conran team, and to sharing the exciting news about all that Salt Lake and its environs have to offer, particularly as more travelers shop for value and easily accessible vacation and meeting experiences."
