Salt Lake CVB’s ‘Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass’ - 13 Top Attractions, One Pass. Simple.

SALT LAKE CITY (April 2010) -The Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass, created by the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau (SLCVB), continues to offer locals and visitors a streamlined way to enjoy 13 of Salt Lake area's top attractions. New this year is a pass good for 365 days, also for one visit at each participating venue during the period.

Available as a 1-day, 2-day, 3-day or 365-day pass, the Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass is activated the first time you use it and remains active for the number of consecutive days purchased. Pass holders may visit as many attractions as they like while their pass is active, but they are limited to only one (1) visit at each participating attraction.

The Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass lets locals and visitors to take advantage of the city's proximity to both urban and mountain adventures. And, it's an incredible value. The Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass is sold online at www.VisitSaltLake.com, in the Visitor's Center at the Salt Palace Convention Center and at participating hotels.

Participating attractions include: Discovery Gateway, Red Butte Garden, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort (scenic foot passenger tram ride only), Thanksgiving Point Gardens and the Museum of Ancient Life, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Utah Museum of Natural History, Utah Olympic Park, Utah's Hogle Zoo, Lion House Pantry Restaurant, Living Planet Aquarium, Clark Planetarium, Tracy Aviary and This is the Place Heritage Park.

The SLCVB encourages travel from neighboring states and communities surrounding the Salt Lake metropolitan area by highlighting the vast array of entertaining area attractions Salt Lake has to offer. These fun and easy-to-use entertainment packages were developed based on national trends indicating travelers want to stay close to home with safe, value-driven packages. The SLCVB is targeting drive markets and Salt Lake-based audiences for summer adventure travel.

"You don't have to leave the Wasatch Front to have a truly amazing vacation, and one that offers a great deal of value," said Scott Beck, president and CEO of the SLCVB. "Salt Lake offers the sophisticated amenities of a major metropolitan destination combined with the alpine ambiance of a mountain resort."

Beck continued: "Salt Lake combines urban attractions with a beautiful mountain setting, making it unique among American cities. Travelers to Salt Lake can enjoy a world-class museum or visit the urban zoo, and be hiking in an alpine meadow 40 minutes later. Mountain bikers can hit the trail in the morning, revive at stunning botanical gardens in the afternoon and spend the night in a luxurious Salt Lake hotel. Very few destinations offer so much to do in so close to the natural environment."

Here's how it works:

Available as a 1-day, 2-day, 3-day or 365-day pass, the Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass is activated the first time you use it and remains active for the number of consecutive days purchased. The 365-day pass remains active for an entire year; however, any Connect Pass not used/activated within the calendar year it was purchased will expire. Pass holders may visit as many attractions as they like while their pass is active, but they are limited to only one (1) visit at each participating attraction.

The streamlined Visit Salt Lake Connect pass allows visitors and locals to experience 13 of Salt Lake's top attractions for one low price. Each person must have a pass and may visit any of the participating attractions one time each upon pass activation.

Families may choose to stay downtown and take in a show at the Clark Planetarium, go hands-on at Discovery Gateway and then enjoy a buffet lunch at the historic Lion House Pantry. They could visit Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort for a scenic tram ride and spend an afternoon at Utah's Hogle Zoo. With 13 attractions in all, the options are endless.
