Spring Powder Skiing and Riding with Ski Salt Lake

Published: 03/30/2009

- Super Pass Offers Incredible Value Through End of Season -

Spring has apparently confused "growing" with "snowing." Instead of making flowers bloom, spring is pounding Salt Lake's Cottonwood resorts-Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude-with the amount of powder you'd expect to see in mid January, with more storms lined up. Alta alone has received more than 90" of Utah's "Greatest Snow On Earth" in just the last nine days.

Combining the fresh snow, wide open slopes and affordable lodging packages, there's no better time to hit the slopes than the end of the Ski Salt Lake's stellar season. Throw in the Ski Salt Lake Super Pass, and skiers and snowboarders are provided with unparalleled convenience, value and accessibility to the resorts until the final lift shuts down for the 2008-09 season. The Super Pass can be purchased in conjunction with lodging packages at participating properties in Salt Lake County. Visit http://www.ski-saltlake.com/ for a list of participating properties and other deals for your spring vacation. Below are the scheduled closing dates for Ski Salt Lake's resorts:

            Alta                 April 19

            Brighton          April 19

            Snowbird         May 25

            Solitude           April 12

*Resort closing dates are subject to change

The Ski Salt Lake Superpass promotes Salt Lake and the Cottonwood Canyon resorts via a one stop shop ski pass valid at Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude.  The Cottonwood Canyons are the ideal winter vacation destination unmatched in accessibility, variety, value and snow quality. Located just 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport, the resorts average 500 inches of snow each year and collectively offer more than 7,500 skiable acres.
